How to Hide A File inside an Image

How about a simple trick that hides a file in an image? Yes I will give you a simple tip which will hide a file inside an image. So much so that the image file will be a JPEG, look and act like a JPEG too. You can fool your friends or anyone with this trick.

Trick

1. Gather the file you wish to bind, and the image file. Place them in the same folder.
Please note:

·    I will be using C:/ New Folder for an e.g.

·    Lets say the image file name is image.jpg

·    The text file is named as text.txt

2. Add the file/files you will be injecting into the image into a WinRar .rar or.zip. Let's say the RAR file is trick.rar
3. Open command prompt by going to Start > Run > cmd
4. In Command Prompt, navigate to the folder where your two files are by typing
cd location [ex: cd C:\New Folder]
5. Type copy /b image.jpg + trick.rar image.jpg
Congrats, as far as anyone viewing is concerned, this file looks like a JPEG, acts like a JPEG, and is a JPEG, yet it now contains your file.

How to View/ Extract the File Again

·    Change the file extension from image.jpg to image.rar, then open and your file is there

·    Leave the file extension as it is

·    Right click, open with WinRar and your file is there.

Simple Ways of Speeding Up Windows XP

I just finished setting up a new PC for a friend and I think some of you will be interested in some of the adjustments can I make all my computers to make them faster. I'm here focused on those that are simple to make and will not cause problems if you get ill, instead of registry settings etc. Quoting

1. Disable indexing services

Services Index is a bit small program that uses a large amount of RAM and can often make a computer endlessly loud and noisy. This process of system updates and lists of indexes all files on your computer. He does this so that when you do a search for something on your computer, it will look for faster scanning the index lists. If you do not search your computer frequently, or even if you do search often, this system service is completely unnecessary. To disable do the following:

* Go to Start
* Click Settings
* Click Control Panel
* Double-click Add / Remove Programs
* Click Add / Remove Window Components
* Clear the indexing service
* Click Next

2. Optimizing display settings

Windows XP can look sexy, but displaying all the visual elements can waste system resources. To optimize:

* Go to Start
* Click Settings
* Click Control Panel
* Click System
* Click the Advanced tab
* In the Performance tab, click Settings
* Leave only noted the following:

* Show shadows under menus
* Show shadows under mouse pointer
* Show translucent selection rectangle
* Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop
* Use visual styles on windows and buttons

3. Speedup folder browsing

You may have noticed that everytime you open my computer to browse folders that there is a slight delay. This is because Windows XP automatically searches for files and network printers everytime you open Windows Explorer. To correct this and to significantly increase navigation:

* Open My Computer
* Click on the Tools menu
* Click on the Folder Options
* Click the View tab.
* Clear the Automatically search for network folders and printers on the box
* Click Apply
* Click OK
* Reboot the computer

4. Disable Performance Counters

Windows XP has a performance monitor utility Monitors which several areas of your PC's performance. These utilities take up system resources so disabling is a good idea.

To disable:

* Download and install the Extensible Performance Counter List
* Then select each counter in turn in the 'Extensible performance counters' window and clear the' performance counters enabled 'below bottom.button checkbox at the

5. Improve Memory Usage

Cacheman Improves the performance of your computer by optimizing the disk cache, memory and a number of other settings.

Once installed:

* Go to Show Wizard and select All
* Run all the wizards by Selecting Next Finished or until you are back to the main menu. Use the defaults unless you know exactly what you are doing
* Exit and Save Cacheman
* Restart Windows

6. Optimizing your internet connection

There are lots of ways to do this but by far the easiest is to run TCP / IP Optimizer.

* Download and install
* Click the General Settings tab and select your Connection Speed (Kbps)
* Click Network Adapter and choose the interface you use to connect to the Internet
* Check Optimal Settings then Apply
* Reboot

7. Optimizing Your Pagefile

If you give your pagefile a fixed size it saves the operating system from Needing to resize the page file.

* Right click on My Computer and select Properties
* Select the Advanced tab
* Under Performance choose the Settings button
* Select the Advanced tab again and under Virtual Memory select Change
* Highlight the drive containing your page file and make the initial Size of the file the same as the Maximum Size of the file.

Windows XP sizes the page file to about 1.5X the current amount of physical memory by default. While this is good for systems with smaller amounts of memory (under 512MB) it is unlikely that a typical XP desktop system will ever need 1.5 X 512MB or more of virtual memory. If you have less than 512MB of memory, leave the page file at its default size. If you have 512 or more, change the ratio to 1:1 page file size to physical memory size.

8. Run BootVis - Improve Boot Times

BootVis will significantly improve boot times

* Download and Run
* Select Trace
* Select Next Boot and Driver Trace
* A Trace repetitions screen will appear, select OK and Reboot
* Upon reboot, BootVis will automatically start, analyze and log your system's boot process. When it's done, in the menu, go to Trace and select Optimize System
* Reboot.
When your machine has rebooted wait until you see the Optimizing System box appear. Be patient and wait for the process to complete


9. Remove the Desktop Picture

Your desktop background consumes a fair amount of memory and can slow the loading time of your system. Removing it will improve performance.

* Right click on desktop and select Properties
* Select the Desktop tab
* In the Background window select None
* Click OK


10. Remove Fonts for Speed

Fonts, especially TrueType fonts, use quite a bit of system resources. For optimal performance, trim your fonts down to just those that you need to use on a daily basis and fonts that applications may require.

* Open Control Panel
* Open Fonts folder
* Move fonts you do not need to a temporary directory (eg C: \ FONTBKUP?) Just in case you need or want to bring a few of them back. The more fonts you uninstall, the more system resources you will gain.

Gtalk trick-How to open Multiple gtalk windows???

1. Right-click GTalk shortcut and select Properties.
2. The shortcut properties dialog box as shown below should popup.
3. Just add /nomutex to the existing text
Eg: "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe"
/nomutex
4. Now you can launch multiple windows and use different ID's.

Disable The Send Error Report, to Microsoft

To disable the stupid feature in WinXP which
tries to send a report to microsoft every time
a program crashes, you will have to do this:

--->Open Control Panel
--->Click on System.
--->Click on Performance and Maintenance.
--->Then click on the Advanced tab
--->Click on the error reporting button on the bottom of the windows.

---> Select Disable error reporting.
Click OK.

Make MS windows boot Faster

First

1. Click at the Start icon
2. Then click run
3. type msconfig, which will open a new window.
4. select startup then check the programms which u wish to run at start up. Un check rest of them which u do not want to run at start up. After that restart your windows.

Second

open the folder c:windowstemp and then delete everything in it...... select all and delete

Third ( it will also increase your internet speed)
--------------------------
open documents and settings folder
then choose your login folder
then unhide everything from folder options
then you will find a folder local settings
then open the temp folder
then delete everything in it......... select all and delete
then come back to local settings folder
then open temp internet files folder
then delete everything in it......... select all and delete

At last re boot your machine...

Folder Options Missing From Windows Explorer Menu Bar - Solution

Windows explorer with its inexplicable bugs have annoyed and irrirated millions of us. One of the most common source of irritation is to find that the Folder Options under Tools of Menu Bar has gone missing. You don't know why and you need it right now. So what is the solution? Let me tell you the simplest one.

1. Go to Run, Type regedit, press enter.

2. Navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer].

3. At right panel, look for an entry called NoFolderOptions. Right click on it and Delete.

4. Navigate to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer].

5. Repeat step 3 to delete NoFolderOptions entry.

You are done!

Best Way To Hide the Recycle Bin from Your Desktop

Open Regedit & explore:
If you are using the XP style start menu
--->HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel\

if working with the classic menu:
--->HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu\

Inside, Make new DWORD-Value with the name "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}" & 'Modify' Value "1"

That will just hide the Recycle bin icon,
--->If a Dock is installed, by this procedure the 'Recycle bin' Docklet won't be anyhow affected as by some other Tweaks.

To restore the desktop icon again, --->just 'Modify' the same DWORD-Value to "0"

Speed up Mozilla Firefox about 3-30x Faster!!!

If you are using Mozilla-Firefox Web Browser to access INTERNET then you should try this.

1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll
down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time.
When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really
speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This
means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer.
Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0".
This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

4. After altering the entries given above close the firefox window and restart.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages 2-30 times faster now.

PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor (the name is a recursive acronym) is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. For this purpose, PHP code is embedded into the HTML source document and interpreted by a web server with a PHP processor module, which generates the web pagedocument. As a general-purpose programming language, PHP code is processed by an interpreter application in command-line mode performing desired operating system operations and producing program output on its standard output channel. Usage

PHP is a general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development. PHP generally runs on a web server. Any PHP code in a requested file is executed by the PHP runtime, usually to create dynamic web page content. It can also be used for command-line scripting and client-side GUI applications. PHP can be deployed on most web servers, many operating systems and platforms, and can be used with many relational database management systems. Most of the files we download from the Internet are in Zip or Rar format. We wouldn’t like if we download an archive to find that the file we are looking for is not there. Solutions::

Task manager is a very strong utility tool for Windows users. You can see the processes, prioritize them, end inactive or non-responding processes and many more things. But suddenly one day you get thiserror message like,

Solution 1: (recommended for XP users)

· Click Start, Run, type gpedit.msc and click OK.

· Navigate to this branch:

User Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options / Remove Task Manager

· Double-click the Remove Task Manager option.

· Set the policy to Not Configured.

Solution 2:

Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given below:

Solution 3:

· Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe

· Navigate to the following branch:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies\ System

· In the right-pane, delete the value named DisableTaskMgr

· Close Regedit.exe

Solution 4:

If you find it troublesome to do anything with the registry or settings all by yourself then just download and run this REG fix and double-click it and you are done!
